Rescue Me ID: 16-02-05-00376Bumble (female)
This puppy is part of a litter that came from a stray momma dog. We got her in only a week or 2 before she gave birth. She is a very mixed breed herself. We really have no idea what the mix is but rescueme makes us choose what they look most like...lol The mom looks like a beagle/bird dog mix. They are only 6 weeks old today (02-05-16)and will be available at 8 weeks old. This pup looks shepherd right now. We cannot guarantee that's what it will look like in the future. Most of the other puppies look border collie or cattle dog. They will be large dogs when full grown. They will have vaccinations at 6 weeks, 8, 12, 14 weeks. Dewormed at 2,4,6,8 weeks. Microchip and prepaid spay/neuter voucher go with pup at time of adoption. Adopter will be responsible for 3rd and 4th puppy booster, rabies and a wellness visit to get puppy on the right track with flea/heartworm prevention. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-02-05-00359Bindi (female)
Bindi is a beautiful, loving 7-month-old puppy. Very good natured and sweet. We bought Bindi as a companion to our older Australian Shepherd, but underestimated the amount of time and energy a second dog would take (we have four kids, three cats, and my husband and I both have full-time jobs). It breaks my heart to re-home her, but I think it's best for our family.

Rescue Me ID: 16-02-02-00709Cosmo (female)
Cosmo use to belong to a veteran and live indoors. The new family's daughter is allergic so now she lives outside and they can't afford to keep her. She is healthy but needs her rabies shot and a health certificate if going out of state. Her fee will be donated towards those bills and any transport costs.

Rescue Me ID: 16-01-20-00336Winnie (female)
Meet Winnie. Oh how we adore this sweet girl! She is about 8 months old and likely a beagle/shepherd/who-knows-what mix. She is a perfect medium sized girl, weighing about 30 pounds so far. Winnie is a friendly, happy girl who loves attention, and we love to give it to her. Her coat is so soft! She is very well behaved for her young age and is pretty quiet to boot. Winnie came to us, like so many others, as a stray from Carroll County. When we first met her she had a wound on her back hip that we thought could have been from a gunshot. When she went to get spayed, the vet shaved her down to take a closer look and saw that she had several puncture wounds most likely resulting from an animal attack. She received some meds and a drain for the infection. Now she has recovered and is as good as new. Even more amazing is Winnie's cheery, non-fearful attitude after something that must have been very traumatic. Winnie is great with other animals. She is being fostered with other dogs of different sizes and loves them all. She especially likes to romp and play with her younger new friends. Her foster home has a somewhat elusive feline that Winnie notices and seems interested in chasing if given the opportunity. Winnie would do well in a home with children who aren't too rowdy. Winnie is now fully vetted--spayed, up to date on shots, and microchipped. She is also housebroken and crate trained. However, she is trustworthy in the home when not crated. If you are interested in offering Winnie a perfect forever home please complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. This is the first step of the adoption process. If you have any questions, please email us at email@example.com or find us on Facebook! Winnie's adoption fee is $175. (Less)

Australian Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. The Australian Shepherd, or Aussie, is a playful breed that provides excellent companionship to active children. Aussies are smart, trainable, protective, and eager to please. Australian Shepherds are gentle with humans and aggressive when herding farm animals. Aussies are active even when indoors and do best with plenty of exercise in a large yard.
