Australian Shepherd    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids and Adults

Charlie is an energetic guy. He needs space to run and an active family. We recently had a baby. He is great with her but our activity level has decreased significantly. He loves to play fetch, frisbee, loves going running, etc. We live in a town home and Charlie has not yard to help release his energy. Charlie is good with some dogs but not with others. He would like to eat cats%BD'%BD| He loves kids and tries to be gentle with them but tends to topple toddlers. The best fit would be a family with older kids and no other pets. Charlie can be a big baby. Charlie is house trained. He needs love, attention, exercise and time. We want him ... (Read More)to be happy in a forever home. We would love to keep him but that would be very selfish of us. He needs more than we are able to give him. Charlie is about 40lbs. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-11-17-00702Morty (male)

Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

MORTY is an Australian Shepherd/Chow mix male. He is 5 1/2 mos old, neutered, and has 3 vaccinations, including Rabies vaccination. He will love the cold weather of the NW!! They say that you take what a dog weighs at 4 %BD mos old and double it to determine their adult weight. My guess is that he's going to be BIG. probably 65-75#s if my formula is true. He has a lot of energy and is lots of fun. His fur is as soft as a powder puff and everyone just wants to bury their hands in it. He needs a strong handler and older children to get him through his puppy stage. This dog will not be good for smaller children just because of his big body ... (Read More)moving at fast speeds. Adoption Fee: $400 (includes all the medical care and transport to the NW). If you have any questions, text me your e-mail and I will send my application and answer any questions you might have. Rescue Me ID: 14-11-17-00043Marley (male)

Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Very High Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Marley is actually a Kelpie, and extremely energetic, athletic and smart. Affectionate and sweet, he also can be stubborn. I have had him out running for nearly 2 hers. He learns anything he's interested in fast, and would love a herding job, as he spends lots of time trying to do that with dogs and sometimes his owner. He needs more room to run and a younger and more active owner. He's very clever and funny and enjoyable to own, except for his yearning to work hard which I can't give him.

Looking to find a good home for this wonderful Australian Shepard dog. This 'cattledog' is very smart, healthy, house trained and obedient. He is 1 year 6-8 months old. He can be protective of his owner / people. He has lived and interacted with other dogs, but can be dog reactive on a leash. An ideal home would be out on a farm, ranch or acreage where there would be few visitors in close quarters. He travels really well in the car. He is very affectionate at home with his people. He is not a barker, very quite most all the time. He makes a great Loyal Companion, he loves being with his person / people. He loves to play fetch...anywhere, any ... (Read More)time! Please respond to this ad if you think you have the right home for this wonderful boy. Experience with shepards and cattle dogs would be preferred.
