Rescue Me ID: 15-08-28-00167Bubbles (female)

Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Health: Vaccinations Current

Typical Bubbles... always smiling! This very sweet, 1-2yr old girl needs a foster home for about 10days or so. In approx 1week she is scheduled for her spay surgery and then will need a few days to recover before being ready for final adoption. Of course, her foster family will have first option to adopt. Bubbles is a friendly girl that gets along with everyone. She loves to play with other dogs, too, but does not need another in the home. She will be tested with cats later this weekend so stay tuned for another update!

Rescue Me ID: 15-08-24-00489Ayla (female)

Australian Shepherd    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adult Women Only
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

I love this dog dearly. She is sweet, sensitive, and for the most part well mannered. She knows all the usual tricks and will heal off leash (given she doesn't see a squirrel). I raised her from 8 weeks to now and am heart broken to acknowledge that my living situation is not what is best for her. She has been acting out within the last year and I know she needs more space, more attention, and someone that understands how to work with her breeds' characteristics. She needs a job and currently believes her job is to protect me. She is an alpha female that will occasionally nip at men when she first meets them. Once you gain her trust however, ... (Read More)you are part of the herd and she is incredibly loyal. I've struggled with this decision for a long time, but as I approach grad school I know I can not give her what she needs. PLEASE contact me if you are interested. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-08-23-00645Tanner (male)

Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

This is Tanner, He is a 5 month old, shepherd/black mouth cur mix located in San Antonio,TX, but he is ready to fly to the PNW once adopted. If Tanner could talk he would tell us what happened to him at a very young age. Unfortunately he can't'|The assumption is that he has had both his back legs broken from some sort of accident. Hit by a car, or abuse. His pelvis was fractured also. This happened when he was very young and he is all healed up now. Problem is he didn't heal completely right and there is not much to do to fix him. Tanner has seen many vets and they all agree that he just needs to be left alone. He can run, walk ... (Read More)and play like any pup. He sits a little funny and limps sometimes. He plays with other dogs well, and is shy and submissive. He would appreciate dog company and a kind family that will assist him through the phases of his life and navigate the medical unknown for him. He is sweet and cuddly, learning to leash walk and basic manners as any puppy. He is potty trained and crate trained. Nobody knows what the future holds for Tanner but he is a normal puppy looking for forever. He may have special needs as he grows. Tanner is up to date on all shots and neutered. He is in foster care in San Antonio. If you would like to learn more about Tanner, please email his foster mom, Carla Relf, at carlarelf@mac.com . His adoption fee of $350 includes air travel to the PNW and all vaccinations, health certificate and medical records. (Less)

Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Abused/Neglected

We found her in our neighborhood as a neglected stray. Shes been nursed back to good health and is current with vaccs. We have 2 other dogs and one of them is on chemo for Lymphoma . Its too much to add a 3rd dog to our family right now. That being said, we will keep her until we absolutely know she is going to a place that can do more for her than we can currently. *** Ideally we would love to foster her out for few months and then take her back in a few months when we are more able *** Very easy going, happy, mostly calm. She just wants lots of love and attention.. Sweet Sweet dog.
