Rescue Me ID: 14-10-22-00285Bonnie (female)

Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed

Whoop Whoop, Bonnie and Clyde are in the building....but we are only hear to find LOVE! We are greyhound/shepherd mixes and we are 8 months young and ready for action. My brother got the glossier locks but I got the personality, although he will argue that with you. We were living the life as rebellious young pups on the streets, minding our own business, causing no harm when that infamous big white truck showed up. We didn't argue or anything as that is not our style, so we ended up at that Animal Control place...man they keep it cold in there, don't get me wrong we appreciate the cooler temps cause we have been on the streets for ... (Read More)months in that 100 degree heat but burrrrr it got chilly. Lots of people looked at us, cause you know we are good looking but no one seemed to want to get us out of the joint. This group called God's Dogs came by and those ladies are nuts...but they love us sleek bodied babies. So they did this "pull" thing right before our deadline was up. We weren't scared though cause we knew somebody would break us out. I do not have to go with my brother, cause we are independent and carefree. I get along with everybody and would love to show you the ropes out and about. I love to show my legs on a good stretch of road, but when we are done enjoy curling up to some serious belly rubs. You can contact those crazy ladies to learn how to break me out by emailing Julie at lonniemarchbanks@yahoo.com or Deb at lincorjack@yahoo.com or Sarah at sgrsatx@gmail.com I can be in Washington at the end of the end of the month cause I got the hook up with Paws Without Borders. The adoption fee of $350 includes transport to Washington, all vetting including rabies, heartworm preventative, de wormer, spay/neuter and micro chip. For more information contact Julie at lonniemarchbanks@yahoo.com or sarah at sgrsatx@gmail.com (Less)

Australian Shepherd    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hey this is Ozzy! He is a very typical Australian Shepherd who needs a forever home. He will need a home with Aussie experience, and depending on your experience with the breed you may need to sign up for positive based obedience classes before your adoption can be complete. Ozzy does not want to live with other dogs and would do best as an only child. He has a bit of a prey drive and can not live with any small animal that will run from him. He has a very serious prey drive and can not live with cats. He is need of some serious exercise! He would love to go jogging with you! He would prefer older kids who can help keep him exercised and ... (Read More)socialized. What Ozzy really needs is a job! He would love to go to Herding classes or maybe even agility. If you would like to get to know Ozzy better, just ask the front for an application and you guys can go on a nice long walk together. (Less)

Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

CALLIE is an Australian Shepherd/Chow mix female. Five mos old, spayed, 2 vaccinations, Rabies vaccination. She will love the cold weather of the NW!! PIease Read Before Adopting an Australian Shepherd in Washington
Australian Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in Washington if they match your IifestyIe. The Australian Shepherd, or Aussie, is a playful breed that provides excellent companionship to active children. Aussies are smart, trainable, protective, and eager to please. Australian Shepherds are gentle with humans and aggressive when herding farm animals. Aussies are active even when indoors and do best with plenty of exercise in a large yard.

lnteresting Australian Shepherd Trivia Low-Cost Washington Spay & Neuter Clinics
Australian Shepherds are not Australian; they were developed in the United States for herding livestock on American ranches. Aussies are often used by police for narcotics detection. Some Australian Shepherds are prized for their beautiful merle coloring, but the gene that causes this coloring also results in deafness or blindness.
