Animal ID: Dahlia (Southern Idaho)Dahlia (Southern ID) (female)
Very sweet loving Dahlia is 18 months old, has had at least one litter. She is on the timid side, probably from some abuse and neglect in her life. She continues to love and want to be loved, and just wants to be with her people. Someone had given her a bad haircut, before she came into rescue. She needs to gain some weight too. We will be learning more about Dahlia If interested in knowing more about Dahlia and the adoption process contact email@example.com

Rescue Me ID: 18-02-17-00144Zelda (female)
She's a phenomenal companion who just needs love and attention. She's full of energy and plays well with her brother, Link. Shy with new dogs but can be worked with. She's great with kids and adults alike, and will bug you for loving until she gets sidetracked by something shiny. She can do basic commands, Sit, Lay, and Wait and very eager to learn. Learns quickly. She would do best with someone who has a lot of space and time. Her brother Link, whom is posted on here as well. http://post.rescueme.org/18-02-17-00147

Rescue Me ID: 18-02-16-00037Sully (male)
Silly little Sully is approx 3.5mo old and currently weighs 22lbs. He is a very active puppy that would do best with a larger dog in the home. He is very dependent on his doggy playtime but still has a very rude play style. An older, playful dog will help him continue to learn proper playstyle and manners. When he's with a person, he is very gentle and affectionate. He is very smart and learns very quickly so someone that will continue with his training and socialization is a must. He is already fully crate trained and needs just a bit more help with his house training. He's also learning to walk on a leash and ride politely in a car. Sully is wonderful with children so would be a great addition to a home with school age kids. He MUST have a fenced backyard and because of his young age, he should not be left alone for more than 4-5hr intervals. The $485 adoption fee includes all 5, first year vaccines, microchip, worming series and neuter surgery. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 18-01-31-00637George (male)
GEORGE is A GREAT dog. He is a 5-mo-old Australian Shepherd mix. He is happy and loves children. We are working on house training. He is interested in cats and finds them interesting when outside. He would need a little training in this department. He and his sister Babbette do not yet understand the leash and collar yet but they are picking it up fast. Yes, sadly in TX great puppies are dumped all the time in the streets and shelters which are insanely high kill. Thankfully for George and his sister, they went directly to rescue and were not on the streets or in a shelter. They were relinquished by their humans :( Adoption Fee: $450. This includes all medical, health certificate for traveling, microchip, and transport to the PNW. If you are interested in adopting Please copy and past this simple easy online application. If you have any questions you can put those in your application. If you would like more photos or have specific questions please text and I will send you all the pix we have of him and answer your questions...210-394-6060. Below is the link to the online application, please copy and paste. We do need the application with all questions answered to consider you for adopting. Thank you. It is not very long will take 5/10. https://form.jotform.us/PNWdogs/ellen-petcentral-satx-apagree George is in TX, his sister Babbette was pre adopted and is now living the great life in the NW. We want this for sweet George as well. Please get in your application to pre adopt. Ask us how that works, all dogs have a trial period. He can come up on our next transport to the NW if pre adopted. |Rescue Me ID: 18-01-29-00009BENNY (male)|
BENNY is well loved by our family. He is a wonderful dog. He is active, smart and happy. We have 16, 13 and 10 year old boys. Ben is wonderful with us, but is unpredictable with strangers and children outside of our family. He has bitten a child (broke skin/stitch required) who is a friend of one of our boys, forcing us to consider rehoming him to someone who would not have children. Ben would do well with a lot of space with a family with older members. We have his sister, so he is used to another dog, but unsure how he would be with unknown dogs. He's been boarded before and had no issue. He's never been around cats. He loves socks, but unless you for a knot in them he does not chew, just collects. He loves playing with his ball. He will chase a ball all day long, although he's not great at giving it to you to throw! Giving him up is hard for us, but feel it is necessary for the safety of our kids and guests. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 18-01-01-00439Urpi (female)
This is Urpi, pronounced (oor-pih) is a quechua word for 'bird.' This cutie has been in my family since we adopted her 12 years ago--she was barely 2 months old. When my parents moved back to Peru, I took her with me so she wouldn't have to go back to a shelter. She has had a really important role in my life, has taught me so many invaluable lessons, and has been the most loyal friend I could ever ask for....so this process is truly difficult for me. I'm really sad I can't care for her anymore, but she deserves better. When we adopted her from the shelter, they told us she is an Australian Shepherd mix, but I think she also has some Lapponian Herder in her. She is house trained, neutered, weighs 40 pounds and all her shots are up to date. She has been on flea/tick prevention medication for a while now. Urpi is most definitely a herder breed (just not sure what kind) and she is meant to live out in the country or with someone who can dedicate time to her exercise needs. Because of her breed, she gets anxious if she doesn't exercise well--she will probably try to find things on counter or the floor/trash to chew on to try to get your attention. She is old, but she LOVES long walks and can still run along with you...especially if it's in the woods. If she gets her daily needed exercise, she will sleep and lounge the rest of the day. I haven't been able to train her to not sleep on my bed or couch, so someone who has great training skills or likes to cuddle with pets is a good match for her. She doesn't really get interested in playing with other dogs, but she doesn't mind them or acts aggressive toward them. In the past, she has lived with other dogs and also a cat (it took her a few weeks to adapt to cat, but in the end, they were able to live in the same house peacefully). It would be amazing if her new family would allow me to visit her sometimes, but more importantly, she deserves a loving, caring home. I'm not able to care for her anymore, as I'm currently pregnant and will not have the capacity to give her the attention she needs and deserves. She really is a sweet, tender dog, just not the typical affection-seeking one. (Less)

Australian Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in Washington if they match your IifestyIe. The Australian Shepherd, or Aussie, is a playful breed that provides excellent companionship to active children. Aussies are smart, trainable, protective, and eager to please. Australian Shepherds are gentle with humans and aggressive when herding farm animals. Aussies are active even when indoors and do best with plenty of exercise in a large yard.
