Rescue Me ID: 16-09-06-00290Aspen (female)

Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Vaccinations Current

Aspen is a super cute red merle Idaho fuzzy. This Idaho Fuzzy likely has Wheaten Terrier, Aussie, Bearded collie and maybe a touch of Border Collie. At between 10-12 months old, Aspen was dumped at a busy intersection, picked up by animal control and taken to a high kill shelter. Rescued from the shelter, she came to JH and is getting some good groceries now, although at 25# she is light for her age and breed. Aspen loves people and wants to please, although she has been beaten repeatedly with something like a leash or rope since she immediately assumes a submissive position on her back and flattens her ears down when you approach her with ... (Read More)those items. She is very shy and submissive at first, she loves people once she trusts she is not going to be beaten. Aspen is good with other dogs, but small children and cats are probably not the best situation for her. With patience, love and a stable situation, Aspen will be a very loyal companion. Aspen has started on house training and likes using the doggie door. Aspen will be spayed and microchipped prior to adoption. She currently resides at our Idaho rescue. Adoption fee is $350.00. Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Oliver is a friendly, active, energetic 7 year old dog. He has no known health issues and is about 47 pounds. I have had Oliver since he was 3 months old. He loves people and attention. He is great at playing catch and loves to run. He has visited dog parks since he was 4 months old and is friendly with other dogs. He is very intelligent and knows basic commands such as sit, stay, come, shake, and spin. He is food motivated and can be trained to do so much more if given the training. I need to place Oliver in a new home due to my daughter's health issues, as well as our lifestyle. My daughter is allergic to dog hair dander and has recently ... Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Ellie Rose is a 10 month old Australian Shepherd around 40-50 lbs in need of a caring home. She would be best placed in a home with no kids and being the only dog. She has a history of guarding, primarily food items, from both dogs and humans. Her future family will need to follow the management protocol and continue her training that has already been established. She's comfortable playing with her friends at the daycare she has attended since about 10 weeks old. Although she is social with her friends at her daycare she is selective with new friends. She is a little slow to accept new changes but if you follow her training protocol she ... (Read More)settles in.     I got this dog as a puppy 10 years ago. I loved this dog to death. I went out of state for college and my parents divorce and neither of them wanted to take care of her. My dog has been living at my dads house for the time being with her litter mate (sister). She was once an inside dog and loves to snooze and be lazy but once she is outside she will run around for hours. She has minimal lease training as she has always had a large yard to play in. Now that I am back in the state circumstances would have it that I am unable to live with my dad and so I must find a home for my dog. She doesn't like other dogs and will bite them if she sees ... She is very loyal but needs to just have one person who can dedicate their time to her. She doesn't have that many years left so I would like to see her in a home where she can just laze about and get snuggles. (Less)
