This cute girl is Lacey, she's about 5 months old and weighs about 18 pounds. She got very prominent heeler tendencies and due to this we would like to find her a home with no other dogs or young children. Her herding skills are superb! She will need an alpha family who will make sure she knows they are the boss or she may want to be in charge of everyone! She's loving and affection and highly intelligent. This is not an apartment dog. Her adoption fee is $395 which covers her spay, vaccinations, microchip, flea/tick treatment and her transport from the rescue in TX to her foster home in Olympia, WA.     My Story PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL US WITHOUT FILLING OUT AN APPLICATION. ***Adoption application at*** IF WE DO NOT RECEIVE AN APPLICATION, WE WILL NOT RESPOND TO YOUR EMAIL. Sky Female 13.60 lbs Australian collie mix? Look at this beautiful face, she has the most loveliest softest personality to go with it so it's heartbreaking to think that she ended up in a kill shelter in Jeju in Korea & about to lose her life. The rescue we work with said they suspect that she was dropped off there while her family vacationed as the area is known for holidaying & it's quite common for people to drop off their dogs & never come back ... (Read More)for them. We were asked could we help her & the amazing Korean rescue went & got sweet Sky out to save her life. Sky was placed in a loving foster home in Korea where she was quite thin & they worked on putting weight on her & discovered her lovely personality & then was brought back to the US, where she is now a US Citizen. Sky is now spayed by laser by our amazing vets, she is chipped, up to date on her shots, dewormed twice, is heart worm negative, is roughly 5 years old & gets along with everyone she has met. She loves the attention & affection of people, enjoys the company of other dogs, & knows how to shake paws. Sky is currently in her loving foster home where they are putting more weight on her & she is with a fellow rescue through ASTR who is opening his heart & home to Sky as are her foster family. Sky would do best with another dog present in the home with someone home during the day & not left alone. Sky walks great on a leash, enjoys going for walks, she listens to you when you speak with her. As with all of our rescues & Sky they need work on potty training & training so this is something that each family would be willing to work on. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Sky & going through the process and have read her listing fully to the end & are interested in adopting. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview, and a home visit followed by a meet and greet & if it's a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Sky that meet all the requirements for this little lady. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Sky has an adoption fee of $770 & is ready for her forever family. Like most dogs in our rescue, Sky will need work on potty training. __________________________ **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well. As an adopter, you must be prepared to accept the fact that these dogs are rescues and, just like you and I, they all have their own individual personalities. In most cases, these little ones have been through a difficult journey that started when their family gave them up or they became lost. They may have been under stress, neglected or even abused in their past life or frightened by being left alone on the streets to fend for themselves. When submitting an application, Please be 100% certain that you are committed to completing the adoption process. This includes having all household members in agreement of the dog adoption and being prepared to complete the adoption once approved. We are committed to placing each dog in the very best home possible. As an all volunteer rescue we spend several hours vetting and approving each applicant and every minute spent working on applicants that are not prepared to complete the adoption takes us away from saving another dogs life. This truly is a life and death matter for these precious souls. Thank you for your understanding. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog We will contact you once we have received and reviewed your completed application. A Home visit as well as a reference check MUST be completed before a meet & greet can be scheduled. Thank you for your patience and cooperation. (Less)

Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Cats, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Meet Ela and Ani, they are Aussie mixes, 8 years young and bonded sisters/littermates, whose owner sadly had to give them up because of terminal illness. These ladies are shy at first, but once they open up to you are playful, goofy, well mannered, sweet+cuddly. They are quite active for their age and will run, play and chase each other through the yard, plus they both LOVE running in the sand and surf at the beach! (They grew up on acreage and would probably like to go hiking too!) Ela is the ringleader, shes a bit more headstrong, Ani typically follows her lead and they do many things in nearly perfect unison. Both have shown an interest ... (Read More)in chasing balls and frisbees, but don't always bring them back and they are both terrible at actually catching anything. :-) (But they try very hard to catch them!) Ela likes to play with, then bring you stuffed toys as gifts and will sometimes walk around the house carrying one. At bedtime they happily curl up on their large dog bed They are good on leash and have gotten along well with our dog and been good around people, kids and large dogs in social settings.(no small dogs) They have barked/lunged at a couple cats during walks, so a cat free household may be best. During the day, they need to go out to potty every 3-4 hours and they are good staying inside overnight. They also got a full vet exam and booster shots as needed within the last month. They'll likely do best in a household where someone is home often, as they enjoy your company and do need to go out more frequently then some dogs. If you are open to adopting a couple sweet dogs, who would love to have a furever home, please contact us. They are currently being fostered in Edmonds, WA If you are interested in making us part of your family, please fill out the application: All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts. (Less)
