Rescue Me ID: 17-01-12-00479Mosby (male)
Mosby is a 1 yr old, 40 lbs, terrier mix. His foster mom says he is the cutest little low rider and that gets along with both the puppies and her dogs. She also says it would be great if he were adopted by someone that has another dog so he can have company. Mosby loves to play/wrestle with other dogs and he loves to cuddle with people and dogs. He just wants to be loved. His foster mom says sweet Mosby is house trained. He is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines and heart worm preventatives. He is currently being cared for in Texas and once adopted can be transported to the NW. Transport and required health certificate are included in his adoption fee. Please email for more information and an adoption application. (Less)

Animal ID: 1041Archer AKA Mr. Magoo (male)
Hello everyone, my name is Mr. Magoo, although my foster dad thought of calling me Piglett from Winnie The Pooh because everyone likes my big ears. I am a four month old male Australian Shepherd and UTD with puppy shots. My siblings' and I were found hovering over our mother along the side of a road. We tried to wake her up so we could eat and get off the road but she just would not get up because she had crossed the rainbow bridge. We were very sad, hungry and frighten when some nice people stopped and helped us. We were cleaned, fed, and given a warm place to stay while we waited to go the PNW. I am now with my foster family in Washington State and am looking for that special family. Out of the five siblings, I am the only one that doesn't have a furever home. I think it's because I am partially blind and have some hearing loss, but my faster dad says it's because he wanted to wait until after Christmas before we have any meet and greets. I love to play with my foster sister and will follow my foster brothers around, although they don't like it. I really get along with the cat and leave him alone. I love to be held and sleep on my foster family's laps when I'm not playing with them. I love to sleep on the foster's bed at night when I'm not sleeping in the toy box. I would like to go to a family that likes puppies and maybe has another dog that likes to play. I have not been tested with children but don't think it would be a problem. My foster dad would like to see me go to a family that has, or is willing to work with, a dog that has a visual and hearing impairment. |Rescue Me ID: 16-12-02-00287Echo Honey (female)|
Echo loves her people but is afraid of strangers and show some aggression when she meets new people. She is a two year old pure breed red mertle mini Australian Shepherd. She is very trainable and eager to please but with our 5 year old daughters heart condition we do not have the time for her that she requires and deserves. Echo would be best suited for children over twelve because she is somewhat selfish with her stuff and food. Our older children can touch them but she prefers not to share with our 5 year old. She had her latest shots last month and is micro chipped. She knows her basic commands: sit, stay, heal, up, go to bed, and lay down. She is house trained, crate trained and walks well on a leash. She loves to chew on things when she is bored and sadly, this includes chickens. She has never hurt a cat but they don't like her and she would chase them if allowed. She would love to have an active family that would be able to spend time playing with her. She loves, loves water and gets very excited when you bring out a hose or a sprinkler. She will require a lot of attention to get her manners up to par with visiters (Less)

Animal ID: 1022-1023Chester-Remington (male)
Meet Chester ( long- haired) and Remington (short hair) These two brothers are approximately 2 years old, both dogs are neutered. They have never spent a day apart so looking for a home that will take both. At the moment these boys are penned up and really need room to run. A farm would be ideal or a large fenced (secure) yard as they require a good amount of exercise. They have not spent a huge amount of time with kids but the times they have, they did great! Super friendly and smart. They have never been around livestock or chickens, so I'm not sure how they would do. These dogs are being transported to the PNW from Texas and there will be an additional $160 transport fee for each dog. If you are interested in making these 2 beauties part of your family, please fill out our application: http://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-07-16-00196Harley (male)
He is a very sweet adult dog who needs a loving home without children or small animals! He is full of energy, loves to play, and follows directions! He can live with other dogs but it will take time for him to get used to them...it took him about a week or so to get used to our other dog but they've been good together for almost 9 years now!

Australian Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in Washington if they match your IifestyIe. The Australian Shepherd, or Aussie, is a playful breed that provides excellent companionship to active children. Aussies are smart, trainable, protective, and eager to please. Australian Shepherds are gentle with humans and aggressive when herding farm animals. Aussies are active even when indoors and do best with plenty of exercise in a large yard.
