Animal ID: 1280Jack (male)

Australian Shepherd    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Deaf

Jack is a four-year-old DM Male Australian Shepherd that wants to know if you will be his new forever home. Jack's name could be Gentle Giant as he is a big boy, but with a heart that matches his size. Jack is neutered, UTD on his shots and micochipped. Being a DM, Jack is deaf but has good vision. Do not let his deafness fool you though. Jack is very intelligent and quick to figure things out. Jack would do great in obedience, agility or nose work and is very trainable. Jack gets along with the foster's other dogs (two males and two females) and cat. Jack also gets along with kids, but kids should always be supervised around any dog. Jack ... (Read More)would benefit being around other dogs but has no problem with being alone. Jack was in an animal sanctuary for two years but no longer qualifies to be there because he is too healthy. Jack has shown no signs of being protective of food and will go into a crate to eat. Jack is housebroken and very good about letting you know he wants to go outside. Because Jack if deaf, a house with a well fenced in yard is necessary. If you think Jack would fit your family please fill out an application at http://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application. His adoption fee will be $275 and all proceeds go towards future rescues. (Less)

Meet Iro! Iro is an adorable eight month old black lab mix who is looking for a new home! Iro is a young pup who is completely full of energy! He is looking for a home (no apartments for this boy) with a fully fenced yard, so he can run around and play while staying safe and secure! Iro is looking for a patient and dedicated owner who will work with him and teach him all the manners he needs. It seems like Iro has not had much training and can be very mouthy and jumpy when he is trying to play or gets too excited, so he is looking for a home with no small children. Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Lilly is a super loving dog. She is amazing around all people and kids. She has dog reactivity issues. We have had her for a little of three years and she needs a single pet family home. If she didn't have the reactivity issues she would be perfect. Loves playing ball, loyal and LOVES swimming. She is amazing with one of our other dogs but is not good with the other at times. She will go after dogs and doesn't really know how to be part of a pack. We have spent countless hours in and on training but she really needs a strong owner and in her own space.

Rescue Me ID: 17-05-01-00349Avalass (female)

Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Adult Women Only
Personality: High Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

Avalass is a unique pup! She is Lily's daughter...see Lily on this site. Avalass is fearful of strangers, but once she decides you are ok, she is great! She is house trained, leash trained, knows some basic commands and is happy to be with her person and her mom! She should probably be adopted with Lily, since she takes her social cues from Lily. She is about 3/4 Labrador, and 1/4 mix of many breeds! Avalass is a wonderful girl, who just needs a chance to fourish! If you have room in your life and your yard for Avalass and her mom, Lily, please consider adopting them both! Contact me for more information!

How sweet can a dog be? This is Lily. She is a mix of Aussie/lab/husky and Springer. She is all black! Lily is house trained and walks on a leash. She does only have three legs, though. When she was living without a fence, she chased cars, and that is how she lost a leg. Poor girl. She also had a litter of puppies. Her daughter, Avalass, would like to be adopted with her. Together they are a wonderful pair.

Animal ID: 1202Chester (male)

Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Chester is a good dog who tends to be a bit shy at first but will open up given time. He is good with other dogs but hasn't met cats yet so not sure how he would be with them. He needs strangers to allow him to approach them. Once he has warmed up he is super loving and loves to be with his humans. He would do best in a home with another dog or one that takes him to doggy daycare each day to give him an outlet for his energy. He is currently getting continuous obedience training through Off Leash K9 but it would definitely be good to expand his learning up there. He is one amazing little dog who loves to learn and play.     White with red spots. Short haired.49 pounds. She is eager to please and very sweet but has resource protecting issues and has attacked other dogs at the dog park ONLY when a ball is involved. She also protects her food fiercely. She needs a JOB as she us super smart and eager to please. We are not the right fit as training for agility or herding is not a possibility for us. She is crate trained at night and house broken. She needs a lot more stimulation than we can give.we love this dog but it is not fair to her to be living in the city without a job. We say she is good with most dogs except when it comes to resource gaurding. She looks ... (Read More)similar to a red heeler, May have that breed in her mix. (Less)

Meet Chester ( long- haired) and Remington (short hair) These two brothers are approximately 2 years old, both dogs are neutered. They have never spent a day apart so looking for a home that will take both. At the moment these boys are penned up and really need room to run. A farm would be ideal or a large fenced (secure) yard as they require a good amount of exercise. They have not spent a huge amount of time with kids but the times they have, they did great! Super friendly and smart. They have never been around livestock or chickens, so I'm not sure how they would do. These dogs are being transported to the PNW from Texas and there will ... lnteresting Australian Shepherd Trivia Low-Cost Washington Spay & Neuter Clinics
Australian Shepherds are not Australian; they were developed in the United States for herding livestock on American ranches. Aussies are often used by police for narcotics detection. Some Australian Shepherds are prized for their beautiful merle coloring, but the gene that causes this coloring also results in deafness or blindness.
