Australian Shepherd    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Very Submissive

Sasha can be a very well behaved dog. She knows basic commands and is house trained. Sasha does however dislike what she doesn't know. (People at the door, people walking down the street, etc.) Due to her fear we have no choice but to rehome her. She is awesome with kids, (I have 5 ranging in ages from 15-4). She is very scared of men, will cower around them. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Rescue Me ID: 14-06-06-00430Cody (male)

Australian Shepherd    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Most Cats
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Cody has been my dog since 2006 when he was just a puppy. This December he will be 8 years old and he still has all the energy that he did when he was younger. He's always lived an active lifestyle and loves to run, to play fetch (he actually bring the ball back now) and to be wherever you are outdoors. When he was younger there was a period of time when I would leave for work in the morning and a guy from the neighborhood would come up to the house (Cody was fenced in the backyard) and throw stick and rocks at him. He even shot him once with a BB gun. As soon as I found out what was happening I put an end to it but, ever since that ... (Read More)point, Cody has been a more protective (of me) and aggressive (towards some people) animal. He is super loyal and very protective... not necessarily bad qualities for a dog but they don't work well living in a neighborhood with kids who love to run up to him very quickly and try to pet him. I managed for a long time by being very careful of who he was around and by warning people not to approach him quickly. In parks he normally just wants to stay by my side and isn't very interested in other people or animals... he just doesn't want people running up and trying to pet him. I hate to put him up for adoption but I've come to the point where I don't have any other real choice. I recently got married and his protection of me means that he bites at my lovely wife. When I am not around he is ok with her but as soon as I return he goes back into protection mode. He has been living at my parent's house and has been doing well there. They just can't take care of him anymore. He typically does well with other people... as long as I'm not around. When I am around he goes back into protection mode. I'm hoping that a change of scenery will be what he needs. He loves to hike and loves to have a task to do. He's never been a working dog but does do very well when he fells like he has a task to do. He's super smart and very sweet with people he likes and it breaks my heart to give him up for adoption but I feel like this is the best option for him to live a good and happy life. (Less)

'La bella vita, It's a beautiful life, so let it in your heart, La bella vita, It's a beautiful life, no matter who you are' Bella Vita Clarabella or Bella for short, is a beautiful girl searching for her beautiful forever life. Will you let her in your heart? Try not to stare into those sweet brown eyes too long. You don't want to miss the doggie-toothpaste-commercial worthy smile. Oh, and those perfectly flipped ears with the black tipping, you can't pass over those! Bella is a 10 month old Chow Chow Mix. Weighing 50 pounds, Bella is spayed, micro-chipped, parasite & heartworm negative, fully vetted and UTD on preventatives. This girl ... (Read More)is ready to find her forever family! Fostered in Tennessee, Bella can travel anywhere from the Southeast to Maine with P.E.T.S. LLC transport.* http://www.petsllc.net/index.php Bella accompanies her foster dad to the office most days where she enjoys walks & visits to a city park. At home Bella enjoys her evenings playing & snuggling with her foster family. Bella is playful--you should see her bunny hop across the grass! A sweet & friendly girl, Bella loves to snuggle on the couch or accompany her favorite people through the house. Fascinated by makeup brushes & all things girly, Bella likes to watch her foster mom getting ready for a night out. Bella has a bit of a 'green paw' & a 'wanderer' attitude. While a securely fenced yard is required for play & exercise, if left unsupervised Bella will try to dig herself to newer places. Because of this Bella will require an indoor lifestyle. She has excellent crate and indoor manners & would be well-suited for either a home or apartment. An adult home without small pets would be ideal for Bella. She would prefer to be an only-pet but may do well with an understanding canine companion. A good student, Bella has begun basic positive training & socialization. Both of which will need to be continued in her forever home. Parties interested in adopting Bella may contact her rescuer/foster family at lazarusrinks@yahoo.com or 931-644-6426 for more information & an adoption application. Bella's $175 adoption fee will be donated to the rescue organization that helps facilitate her adoption. 'Pawing it Forward!' *The approved adopting family is responsible for transportation fees. What are you waiting for? Everyone wants a soft, snuggly teddy bear. You're never too old, either. Adopt your Bella Bunny Hoppin' Bear today! (Less)
