Rescue Me ID: 17-05-09-00153Jack (male)
Jack needs to go to a home where his fearfulness can be addressed and dealt with properly. He is the perfect dog at home but is wary of strangers and does not like hands outstretched to him. He is fine with cats, and unsure about other dogs.
Lexington County Lexington, SC MAP IT!
Rescue Me ID: 17-04-28-00179Boyett (male)
Boyett is about a 2 year old Australian shepherd mix. He loves children and other dogs. He has a submissive personality. He is very friendly and walks well on a leash. He is crate trained and doing well with house training. He has had all of his vaccinations and up to date on preventatives but still needs to be neutered, which will need to be done by his new owners. Boyett showed up at someone's home about 6 months ago and after searching for his owners, it became apparent nobody was looking for him. If interested in adopting, please message for an adoption application.

Animal ID: 13-07-05-00049Emma (female)
Beautiful, 8 year old female Australian Shepherd mix, black and tan, weighting approx. 50 lbs or less. Spayed, microchiped, regular heartworm and flea prevention, UTD on shots and house broken. Emma needs someone who can spend more time with her than I have available. I would like to find someone who is retired or can be with her most of the time. That's what she is use to, but our schedules have changed and she is lonely. She is a bit on the shy side, but warms up to you after a few neck and belly rubs. She is very sweet, loyal and good with children and other dogs. (she has not been around young children though) She walks on a leash and travels well. She sits, lays and loves to fetch balls, but is not obsessive about it. Energy level is medium low. If you have a fenced in yard, love dogs and want a great companion or new family member, Emma will be a great fit. A rehoming fee of $75.00 will be donated to our local animal shelter. (Less)

Australian Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in South Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Australian Shepherd, or Aussie, is a playful breed that provides excellent companionship to active children. Aussies are smart, trainable, protective, and eager to please. Australian Shepherds are gentle with humans and aggressive when herding farm animals. Aussies are active even when indoors and do best with plenty of exercise in a large yard.
