Animal ID: 13835Dozer (male)

Australian Shepherd    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Dozer ARPH #13835! He is a sweet 3 year old neutered red tri Aussie looking for his forever home! Dozer is up to date on all vaccinations and is heartworm negative. He now weighs about 40 pounds but should be about 50. His prior owner loved him but did not have enough time to give him what he needs. He spent too many hours crated in the house and not enough time exploring the world. He is housebroken, crate trained and good with people. His foster home has a 13 year old son with whom he's been great, so only children ages 12 and up, please, as he's not been tested with younger ones. Dozer definitely prefers to be in an only dog ... (Read More)home. He was never around dogs and doesn't quite know what to do with them. His foster family has been working with a trainer to teach him how to walk better on leash and how to interact with other dogs. He has really come a long way already and loves going for walks now. He could keep up with any activities his future home enjoys as he is an energetic Aussie that always wants to know what is going on. If someone was interested in training him for agility, he has the skills! He loves toys, particularly rope ones and will run to chase them but hasn't mastered fetch yet. He settles nicely in the car. Dozer needs an experienced owner who understands his need for continued training and regular, consistent exercise. A traditionally fenced yard will be required. Any family interested would be able to do follow up training for free with his current trainer, located in Oxford, PA. Dozer is being fostered in Bryn Mawr, PA. Adoption application can be found at www.aussierescue.org. This will need to be completed and approved before any meet and greets are set up. (Less)

Animal ID: 0871Angi (female)

Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Blind, Deaf

Angi is ready for adoption and her forever family. She is a Double Merle Australian Shepherd, 38 lbs and about 5 years old. She is a special dog and will need a special family. She is both blind and deaf and was likely used in a puppy mill for a number of years. She is completely sweet and submissive She likes being petted even more than treats. She will walk on a leash/harness a little and is mostly house trained. As long as you make sure she goes out 4 times a day and keep her on a regular feeding and potty schedule she does not have accidents. She doesn't have accidents in her crate and will whine when she wants to go out. The first day ... (Read More)we got her she found her way from the yard to the front door. It took about a week for her to find her food dish. Now she can navigate the yard and find both doors. She can go up stairs, but down only 2 or 3. She will go out on her own if I leave the door open, so she probably could be trained to a pet door-but it would take time. She walks slowly, so is not hard to keep up with. It will also take more time for her to trust and then start to follow you. She is probably not good with cats. If you are interested in making this pup part of your family, please fill out our adoption application:http://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application Adoption fee is $275. All proceeds from adoptions go towards future rescues. (Less)

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hi! My name is Wiggle Butt! That's what they call me anyway, my real name is Lexie. I really, really love people and wag so hard I hit myself with my tail! They say I'm a real sweetheart. I'm possibly a Catahoula Leopard Dog and Pibble or American Bulldog mix and I'm around 4 yrs old. I know how to do sit, down and I play fetch too! I also enjoy hanging out and relaxing, I don't even mind staying in my crate. I would love to find a home of my own, maybe with a doggy sibling that would let me take the lead. If you'd like to know more about me, call or email my foster mom! suziethornton11@gmail.com 412-606-3026
