|Rescue Me ID: 17-11-21-00408Maddon (male)|
Maddon is a year old and very smart! Being a border collie, he is very energetic and LOVES being social with people and animals. His Australian Shepherd side of him makes him a busy and herding dog. He fully potty trained, can sit on command, shake on command, 'go lay down' on command, etc. Maddon is crated during the day and night when we are not able to watch him. He is out when we are home and awake and is very well behaved. He gets along with just about any breed except for pitbulls and bull dogs. He is very interested in cats but cats always find him too hyper. We currently live in a small apartment that is just not the right place for him. He needs a house with a yard and preferably another dog. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 17-11-20-00383Willow (female)|
[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] Hello all! Willow Rue is a female Australian Shepherd born on October 29, 2016. I have had her since she was 8 weeks old, another family had her for 2 weeks before that. Willow is very loving towards our family and close friends. She does not like strangers or children. She is protective and will nip at people if they are wrestling in the house or running. She is food aggressive and has excitement incontinence. Basically when she sees the people she loves she pees. She loves to cuddle and play fetch. She will come with all her toys, vet record, collar and leash. She is a good dog but we cannot keep her as our house is very chaotic. She needs to go to a home with no other dogs, and no young children. Preferably an older couple in a calm environment who are going to treat her like their baby. Potential adopters must provide a name and phone number of a veterinarian they have used, as a reference. (Less)

|Animal ID: ARPH 13172Buster (male)|
Buster, is a 9 year old black tri male, being fostered in Columbus, OH. Initial comments about Buster: 'Buster and Bonnie (also listed) have been together most of their lives. They've been well loved dogs, who knew a good home. Their owner broke her back and became too disabled to continue to care for them, so she was forced to give them up. Each came with a 3 page letter to whomever adopts them - describing their personalities, likes, dislikes. It brought tears to my eyes. Comments from his foster Mother 'Buster is the sweetest boy you will ever know. He loves walks, rides in the car, other dogs, cats, being brushed and everyone he meets. He is always the hit of the party when I have people over. He loves to cuddle and will sleep right next to you in bed if invited. He has perfect house manners and just a great overall dog.' |Animal ID: ARPH 13174Bonnie (female)|
This fluffy 8 year old black-tri female with a full tail is Bonnie and she is one of the most laid back Aussies her foster family has ever had in their house. She is currently being fostered in a home with 3 very active male Aussies ranging in age from just under 2 years old to just over 7 years old and she gets along wonderfully with them. Bonnie is overweight and has the green beans and pumpkin added her dry kibble to work on getting that extra weight off. She has an allergy to wheat so it is important to pay attention to the ingredients in her food and treats which is not difficult given the vast choices available nowadays. Because she is such a low key and well behaved girl, she has free reign of the house when her foster parents are at work. She is crate trained, housebroken and a delight to take for walks as she just strolls along with you. She does suffer from some arthritis in her backend and takes an anti-inflammatory to ease the pain (another reason she needs to lose the excess weight). She enjoys naps on the couch and wandering around outside in the yard. If you want a dog that makes you smile and forget your bad day at work as soon as you open the front door of your house, Bonnie is the one for you. She gets so excited to see her people that she will hop up and down when she greets you. Her sweetness will melt your heart. She has been tested to be good with cats and rides very well in the car. If you are searching for that perfect, trained and lovable companion that you don't have to worry is going to get into something when you are not looking or steal your favorite pair of shoes and chew them up, then Bonnie is the one for you. Please note: Up until recently when she came into the rescue program, Bonnie lived with Buster (also available for adoption) and missed him terribly when they went to separate foster homes. Please consider adopting both of them to keep them together. Bonnie is in Columbus, OH. If you are interested go to http://www.aussierescue.org/dogs/arph-adoption-application to fill out an application. For questions contact: Maribeth Hook email@example.com (Less)

Australian Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in Ohio if they match your IifestyIe. The Australian Shepherd, or Aussie, is a playful breed that provides excellent companionship to active children. Aussies are smart, trainable, protective, and eager to please. Australian Shepherds are gentle with humans and aggressive when herding farm animals. Aussies are active even when indoors and do best with plenty of exercise in a large yard.
