Australian Shepherd    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Bongo, a 50lb Australian Shepherd male. Bongo is approximately 2 years old, he is UTD on shots, neutered, housebroken, knows come and sit and his leash manners are pretty good. He is such a happy boy! He loves people and is super affectionate. I can promise you, you will never get a better welcome home from any one or any doggie like the one you get from Bongo. Homes with small children should be aware that Bongo is a jumper and may be suited for homes with older or no children as he may unintentionally knock them over. Belly rubs are his favorite! He can stay by your side all night and get his belly rubbed. Your food is also his ... (Read More)favorite so watch out, Bongo is a counter surfer which with some consistent training can be fixed. As working/herding breeds usually do, Bongo has lots of energy!! Bongo will go to an active home that has a fenced in yard and the knowledge of this type of breed. Just as long as Bongo is properly exersized he will settle in for some family TV time and cuddle time. Bongo does not bother his 4lb chihuahua foster sister but bunts heads with is similarly sized Aussie foster brother who is constantly in Bongos face wanting to play. Either a dog free home or a home with a calmer or older dog would be best for him. Bongo does however do great at the dog park. Bongo has interacted with cats and doesnt seem fazed by them in the least. Bongo is as smart as a whip, super loving and with a little more training will be the perfect addition to any active home! If you would like to make Bongo part of your furever family, please fill out the application: http://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application Adoption fee is $325 and all fees are used for future rescue efforts.     Chief here, I'm looking to find my very own family. Just 1.5 years old and 14 lbs, I'm up to date, and neutered. I'm currently living with a few other dogs, and I particularly love the girls! I'm ok with other boys my size or smaller with proper introductions. I really need to go to a home with another dog or a family that is home all day. There's a few cats in my foster home and my foster mom keeps reminding me not to chase them, but sometimes it's too hard not to. I'd do best in a home without cats. I love kids, 10 and older as i get a little nervous with young ones. Foster mom keeps calling me her little shadow, a true Velco dog. I love ... (Read More)car rides or going on long walks. mom says I'm such a perfect gentleman leash walking. There's lots to do and see, but I love to snuggle on those rainy days. Foster mom thinks I'll excel at agility as I'm compact and lean and love to learn new things, she keeps telling me how smart I am! My foster family has taught me the basics and a few tricks, i even learned to play the piano from watching my housemate learn her tricks! Will you be mine? Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Deaf

Gorgeous Ronin was dropped off alongside Nook, our heartworm positive white shepherd. This boy is the product of double merle breeding - when an irresponsible breeder mates two merle dogs there a recessive condition emerges in a few pups that can result in hearing and/or vision impairments. Ronin is deaf, but he doesn't let that slow him down one bit. Ronin is a 1-2 year old happy boy that will need a fenced in yard so that he has a safe area to play. He will not be available until May. Please email barkingbackrescue@gmail.com for an app! Ronin is great with other dogs, but has NOT been cat or kid tested.
