Rescue Me ID: 15-02-08-00547Maximus (male)

Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

We are unable to care for Max any longer since I recently had a baby. We had rescued Max from Rawihide Rescue. He is high energy loves to run and play. He gets along with all other animals and all adults and kids of all ages. Sadly since we've had our baby we just dont have the time to give Max the full attention he needs, so we need to find him a great home.

Rescue Me ID: 15-02-07-00611Sadie (female)

Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Sadie is an adult Australian Shepherd mix. She is spayed, UTD on vaccines, and housebroken. Sadie is an active girl, but not hyper and friendly with male dogs. She is exceptionally smart and walks well with a harness. Sadie might have some smaller breed terrier because she is quick and agile. Her eyes are a bright golden color and her red coat gleams. If you want a super companion that doesn't take up a lot of space...Sadie is the girl for you! PLEASE CONTACT BRDGESDOGS@AOL.COM OR GO TO BRIDGES2SAFETYANIMALRESQ.ORG FOR AN APPLICATION TO ADOPT SADIE OR CALL ELLEN AT (732)859-8915.

Urgent: This animal could be euthanized if not adopted soon.

Rescue Me ID: 15-02-07-00113Petra (female)

Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Arthritis, Deaf

We have had Petra since she was 8 weeks old. She is the sweetest dog, but unfortunately, we have to move by 3/31/15 and cannot take her with us. She is 14 yrs. old and in good health, reported by Vet last month. She is up to date with Rabies vaccination, has slight arthritis on her hind legs, but can still go up the stairs. She will be a good snuggler and would be great with older adults or even young kids. She never gets bothered by anything. We just want her to be in a loving home during this last season of her life.

The Australian Shepherd, or Aussie, is a playful breed that provides excellent companionship to active children. Aussies are smart, trainable, protective, and eager to please. lnteresting Australian Shepherd Trivia Low-Cost New Jersey Spay & Neuter Clinics
Australian Shepherds are not Australian; they were developed in the United States for herding livestock on American ranches. Australian Shepherds are descended from Spanish dogs that were used for herding Merino sheep. Some Australian Shepherds are prized for their beautiful merle coloring, but the gene that causes this coloring also results in deafness or blindness.
