Pineapple is a sweet soul. Slightly on the shy side, she would benefit from a kind, loving, quiet home that enjoys her shy disposition. Your rewards will come when her love shines through & she warms up to you. She is 3 years old and currently in foster. Pineapple came in from a rural shelter in poor condition with a litter of pups. Her puppies have all been adopted & she is currently undergoing heartworm treatment. No worries though, we cover those expenses & walk you through the process with our wonderful medical staff. Her adoption fee is $150 & includes: Spay, vaccines, deworming, heartworm treatment, microchip, a session ... (Read More)with our trainer, a wellness exam with our Veterinarian, & a 1 month offer of pet health insurance. Interested? Visit www.DogsbyDebin.com to complete an adoption application. Animal ID: 1508Dolly (female)

Australian Shepherd    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Deaf

If you are looking for a goofy, sweet, toy-loving, playful young dog who is eager to please, then look no further than Dolly. This 30lb mini Aussie is around a year old. Dolly is housebroken, crate trained, and great with people. She adores toys and crews and pretty much anything else she can play with. Dolly is good with most other dogs, though can sometimes hog all the great toys for herself. She has not been tested with cats but we believe she would be okay. She has good manners for a younger pup, but does like to steal socks from time to time. Dolly's coloring is what's known as a double merle. Because of a defect in the color genes, ... (Read More)she is deaf and partly blind. It does not limit her abilities to navigate around the house, and she is learning commands via hand and touch signals. We do recommend no young kids, since they could sneak up on her and scare her. Our trainers and coordinators can answer any questions you may have about her abilities. Dolly is up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and ready for a great home. She is fostered in the St. Louis area. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting an Australian Shepherd in Missouri
Australian Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in Missouri if they match your IifestyIe. The Australian Shepherd, or Aussie, is a playful breed that provides excellent companionship to active children. Aussies are smart, trainable, protective, and eager to please. Australian Shepherds are gentle with humans and aggressive when herding farm animals. Aussies are active even when indoors and do best with plenty of exercise in a large yard.

Australian Shepherds are not Australian; they were developed in the United States for herding livestock on American ranches. Aussies can be trained to perform tricks. Some Australian Shepherds are prized for their beautiful merle coloring, but the gene that causes this coloring also results in deafness or blindness.
