Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant

Patches (can be renamed) is a year old puppy. He is real pretty with one blue eye and one brown eye. He would come with collar, crate, and leash. He is pretty well crate trained but still a puppy. He has to be in his crate when not watched cause he still likes to chew. He definitly will compete for attention and food with other male dogs since he seems to be alpha temperament. He is really good with children and with female dogs. He is a big LOVER and really sweet. We love this dog so much and are looking and praying on finding him the very best home where he is loved, as we do all of the Critter Cafe Rescue animals. Someone patient enough ... Rescue Me ID: 14-10-22-00114Finn (male)

Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Needs Vaccinations, Aggressive

Finn is an Australian shepherd/beagle mix and was born 9/28/08 (6 years old). He needs to go to a home with NO CHILDREN and NO OTHER PETS due to aggression issues. He knows basic commands, is housebroken, neutered, microchipped (lifelong membership & can be transferred), and current on his rabies shot. He is an excellent dog as a one-on-one pet, but is extremely protective of what he considers his territory. It is breaking my heart that I can no longer keep him because I love him so dearly. I am looking for someone that has experience with aggression and understands the strong protective/herding instinct of an Australian Shepherd. My vet has ... (Read More)suggested he may make a good working dog, but he has been a house pet since I adopted him (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting an Australian Shepherd in Michigan
Australian Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. The Australian Shepherd, or Aussie, is a playful breed that provides excellent companionship to active children. Aussies are smart, trainable, protective, and eager to please. Australian Shepherds are gentle with humans and aggressive when herding farm animals. Aussies are active even when indoors and do best with plenty of exercise in a large yard.

lnteresting Australian Shepherd Trivia Low-Cost Michigan Spay & Neuter Clinics
Australian Shepherds are not Australian; they were developed in the United States for herding livestock on American ranches. Aussies can be trained to perform tricks. Some Australian Shepherds are prized for their beautiful merle coloring, but the gene that causes this coloring also results in deafness or blindness.
