Miles the handsome devil Double Merle is now available for adoption. He is approximately 4 yrs old. He is very loyal, loving and a velcro Aussie. Miles loves meeting new people and other dogs, he is always ready to play! He gets along great with both smaller (Chihuahua size) and bigger dogs. He is completely housebroken knows some hand signals (he is deaf and partially blind). He walks great on a leash he does not pull, he walks right next to you, when you stop he stops to look up at you to check in. He is very in tune to the handler. Miles is a happy go lucky Aussie who simply loves life. He enjoys his chewy bones and toys. He does not have ... (Read More)any problems with resource guarding with food, toys or bones. He lets his housemate Mattis take turns chewing the same bone (they each have their own, boys will be boys) Miles is crate trained and will sleep through the night and can hold his potty for up to 8 hrs. He is neutered, UTD on shots, on heart worm preventative and flea/tick monthly application. Miles is currently being fostered in southern Wisconsin. Also, Miles doesn't not like to feel restrained from the hind area or have a muzzle put on him, he will get nippy but does NOT actually bite. Other then this he is almost perfect. PIease Read Before Adopting an Australian Shepherd in Michigan
Australian Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. The Australian Shepherd, or Aussie, is a playful breed that provides excellent companionship to active children. Aussies are smart, trainable, protective, and eager to please. Australian Shepherds are gentle with humans and aggressive when herding farm animals. Aussies are active even when indoors and do best with plenty of exercise in a large yard.

lnteresting Australian Shepherd Trivia Low-Cost Michigan Spay & Neuter Clinics
Australian Shepherds are not Australian; they were developed in the United States for herding livestock on American ranches. Aussies can be trained to perform tricks. Some Australian Shepherds are prized for their beautiful merle coloring, but the gene that causes this coloring also results in deafness or blindness.
