Im a snuggle bug but I know my rules. Im not a fan of a crate but will be good in one for a normal work day however I can be trusted alone as well. I am housebroke and do not have accidents. My Mom was an Austrailan Sheppard / Boston Terrier and Dad was a Beagle Shitzu, I like to run a property line and ensure the bad squirls and rabbits do not enter. Cats seem to be a hazard to me as well and I will tree them. Small dogs make me nervouse but I do well when introduced and my brothers used to be very big pups and I handle play well when introduced properly. Im content to jog three miles with you or have a lazy rainey day laying about. My fur is soft and silky and I love car rides! My birthday is October 13, 2011 so Go NAVY! Can you love me forever? I come with all shot records and flea/ tick and heart worm prevention. I would prefer a large fenced yard with room to run. (Less)

Australian Shepherd fans unite! This cutie is a toy Aussie Shepherd named Marlie and is quite adorable. He comes with a companion who is a Rat Terrier named Dixie. Dixie is soooo sweet! All those who know the behavior of Aussie Shepherds know that their job is to herd. So experienced Aussie Shepherd dog owners apply. But they are both adorable! Please know that they are a bonded pair and need to go together. But I can tell you that you will not be sorry if you take them both!

|Rescue Me ID: 17-02-13-00179Griffon (male)|
GRIFFON'S 'MUST HAVES' 1. physical fenced yard where he will have room to run around and explore. He can jump fairly high so it should be at least 4 foot tall. 2. young, playful buddy in the house. Griffon gets along with almost every dog that he encounters but with his energy level, he can overwhelm some dogs. Size and gender do not matter...he will play with any dog, anytime. 3. a family/person willing to walk/run him at least twice a day for at least 1.5 to 2 miles each time. He would be a great runner's dog but would need more leash training. 4. older children (8+) or no children in the house. When Griffon gets really excited, he will jump up and on people and he will use his mouth when playing. Application link is: http://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/E53LXc4bsw6r997fuK4 Griffon is being fostered in the Northwestern Virginia area until he finds his permanent home. Griffon is in the 18 month old range that is medium sized in the 35 pound range. He is a strong, muscular springy dog that is high energy and very playful. Mix is unknown but he is 'party' colored - gray, black, white, caramel brown colors. He has coarse hair in some areas like a terrier, and really soft, thick fur in other areas. Griffon is house-broken and crate-trained and currently needs to be crated when no one is home or he will chew on inappropriate things. He is a very friendly boy and loves to cuddle during his down times. He loves playing 'chase' with other dogs. Griffon is not good with kitties but is okay with smaller dogs. He will need more work on leash skills and basic obedience. He is up to date on vaccinations (combo and Rabies), is micro-chipped, neutered and on monthly heart worm aand flea/tick preventatives. He is heart worm negative. If Griffon doesn't get enough exercise/activity, he may chew or dig when bored. Griffon's adoption fee will be $350 which will go towards his vetting costs and transport costs. You can check out his post on Adopt a Pet for more pictures. http://www.adoptapet.com/pet/18802338-upper-marlboro-maryland-tibetan-terrier-mix I am looking to place Griffon within a 3 hour radius of Washington, DC. We also have volunteers in Southern PA, Pittsburgh area, New Jersey, North Carolina (some parts) and Southern Virginia. (Less)

Australian Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in Maryland if they match your IifestyIe. The Australian Shepherd, or Aussie, is a playful breed that provides excellent companionship to active children. Aussies are smart, trainable, protective, and eager to please. Australian Shepherds are gentle with humans and aggressive when herding farm animals. Aussies are active even when indoors and do best with plenty of exercise in a large yard.
