Rescue Me ID: 14-12-05-00180Innes - New England (male)

Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Innes is a very sweet boy with lots of energy. He truly acts like a puppy, and loves to play with people and other dogs. Innes may be best in a home where he is the only dog or in a home with other dogs that are similar in size/ energy level. Innes is currently in a foster home with two small dogs. Although all three dogs love to play with each other, Innes sometimes seems to forget how much bigger he is than the others. Innes is high-energy and would love to be in a home where he can spend lots of time with human and canine family members. Innes is very smart and enjoys playing with toys that stimulate and challenge him. He also loves ... (Read More)going for long walks/hikes and socializing. He generally walks well when wearing his harness and would benefit from continued training on his leash. Although Innes still demonstrates some puppy behaviors (chewing, jumping), these behaviors have been well controlled in his foster home with some training and lots of exercise and playtime. As much energy as Innes puts into playing, he puts even more into loving his family. Innes is extremely affectionate. He loves to give big kisses and is happy to snuggle up on the couch with his humans. Innes would love to find a home where he could spend his days playing with and loving his forever family. If you are interested in adopting Innes please email sln2310@yahoo.com and request an application. Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family. If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered. Innes' adoption donation is $350 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heart worm test when appropriate and is on preventative, microchip, and neuter. We do not have a physical shelter, all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada. (Less)
