Rescue Me ID: 17-07-18-00042Disney (aka Disney) (male)
Meet Disney (aka Dizzy)! Dizzy is about 1-2 yrs old and weighs about 35 lbs. Dizzy came to us from Animal Rescue Corps Operation Mayday 2. He was rescued from a situation where he was living outside on a chain. This poor boy has had a rough start in life and now he is looking for a new beginning. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body, but he is incredibly timid and nervous. He loves other dogs of all sizes and we will require he be placed with another confident, well adjusted dog that can help show Dizzy the ropes. His new family will need to be patient and work on building his confidence. He has been doing well with his housetraining, but occasionally displays some submissive peeing that is getting better as he becomes more confident and comfortable. We think Dizzy would do best in a home without young children. We will require adopters to attend A Sound Beginning Program classes with him. Dizzy's adoption donation of $250 helps cover the cost of his vetting. Application, reference checks, and home visit required. Adopters must live 1.5 hours driving distance from Romeoville, IL. For more information on adopting, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.perfectpooches.org under the Adoption Process tab. All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested (age appropriate), fecal tested and/or dewormed, and microchipped. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-07-01-00277Bob (male)
Bobby is 38 lbs and 2 to 3 yrs old. He is a little nervous on the leash alone but outside with another dog he is a super star. He likes to play with any of the dogs that are smaller then him. He is crate trained and house broken. He would benefit from having another dog in his home. Bobby would do best in a calmer home because he is calm himself and a little shy at first. He has a silly side that makes you fall in love with him. He is submissive and doesn't want any trouble so he always tries to be on his best behavior. Bobby is a joy to have around. Bobby is located in McHenry IL. His adoption fee is $350. If you have any questions or would like to meet Bobby please call 815-403-1776 or email email@example.com For faster processing please go to https://www.cognitoforms.com/TinyPawsSmallDogRescue1/AdoptionApplication and fill out the on line application. |Rescue Me ID: 17-06-29-00208Fern AKA Shelly (female)|
Meet Fern AKA Shelley! Aust. Shep/Husky Mix DOB 1/2013 Currently 40 lbs. If you love sweet, loyal and fluffy then Fern/Shelley is the dog for you. (her rescue name is Fern but she seems to know and respond to Shelley). She was born January 30, 2013 and being 4, she is a young dog but with the nice bonus of being past all the puppy issues. Shelley stands about 19 inches tall at the shoulder and weighs 39 pounds. She is fully housebroken and well behaved, no barking or jumping on furniture. Shelley loves being around people and would do best in a home where someone is home most of the time. I would call her dog indifferent, she doesn't mind being around other dogs but hasn't shown a huge interest in wanting to play with them. Shelley would be quite content being the only dog. She loves being outdoors and going for walks with her people. Shelley is ready to become your new best bud. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email safehavendogsIL@yahoo.com for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed. Please consider becoming a foster home while you search for your new best friend. We need foster homes - pounds are overflowing with puppies and adult dogs that are at-risk and need help. We can only rescue as many as we have foster home commitments. Fostering is a rewarding experience for your family. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-06-23-00457Jolene and Little Bear
Jolene and Little Bear are a bonded pair of mini Australian Shepherds. They are assumed to be siblings and the vet has aged them at 10 years old. They are both utd on all vetting and heartworm negative. Little Bear is the sweetest boy you could ever want. He loves attention and gets along well with all types of animals. He is fully house trained and walks nice on a leash. He is a very tolerant boy, he does great for baths, brushing, tooth brushing and nail trimming. Low energy level and perfectly happy to sit and cuddle as long as you will let him. Jolene is a little more aloof than her brother when it comes to getting attention. She enjoys belly rubs but isn't much of a cuddler. She is very tolerant also, does great with baths, brushing, tooth brushing and nail trimming. Jolene is fully house trained and great with people and other dogs. She is very obsessed with cats. She doesn't hurt cats but she can not contain her excitement when they are around. She will try to herd the cats and push them with her nose. So a home with no cats or very easy going cats that are used to dogs is a must. She has had chronic ear infections that have gone untreated so she does not hear well. She is low energy but will follow cats around for hours if she can. Little Bear and Jolene must be adopted together and the right home is a must. They will require someone willing and able to provide the necessary vet care as they age. They don't need a lot of room to run but a fenced yard is important. Adopting senior pets is very rewarding and these two will give you all the love they have! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-10-09-00210Deacon (male)
*MUST LIVE IN 50-MILE RADIUS OF ITASCA (A SUBURB OF CHICAGO) WITHIN THE ILLINOIS BORDER TO ADOPT, NO EXCEPTIONS!* Are you ready for a lifetime of fun and adventures with a devoted canine companion? Do you need a buddy with whom to watch sports on tv? Well, I would like to apply for the job. My name is Deacon, and I am a 1-year-old Australian Shepherd mix; lucky for you, I am available for adoption through Fetching Tails Foundation! I am a pretty good looking dude if I say so myself. My coat is decorated with caramel and white swirls, and I have handsome hazel eyes. And I am about 40 pounds of lively love! My friends at Fetching Tails Foundation saved me from Chicago Animal Care and Control. Ever since my foster mommy took me into her home, I have been having a total blast playing with her female pittie mix Rey (who is a Fetching Tails alumna! She tells me all the time in our doggie language that I will find a great forever home for myself just like she did!) We love to run around in the backyard together and play together inside, and play with our toys and chew bones together, basically playing together as much as possible. I love to play and be active, so I would love a forever family that likes to be active, too; I could be a great workout buddy if you need a friend on long walks. It would also be amazing to have another dog friend; I think a canine companion about my size and energy level would be a perfect fit! We can keep each other entertained and be best friends forever. And I am serious about watching sports on tv: it doesn't matter what sport, if there is a game on the telly I like to get right up in front of it and keep an eye on the ball. So when we are all done going on fun adventures and playing, I would be the happiest dog alive if we could watch a highlights reel or two on ESPN together. I have great house manners and I am learning even more all the time! I am potty trained, and I do fine resting in my crate while foster mommy goes to work. She says I am very good at letting my people know when I have to go outside and 'take care of business.' I know a few basic commands, including sit, stay, and give paw. I love to learn, and Fetching Tails Foundation likes to encourage all adopters to attend training courses with their new pups, so I think it would be a lot of fun if we could take a few classes together. I love to go on long walks, but I can get excited and pull a little strong, so maybe we could work on leash skills together in doggie school? More than anything, I would love a family that is up for fun and adventures like I am, and a family that will love me for life! If I sound like I could be the fun-loving, active, spunky (And did I mention cuddly and affectionate? Because I am definitely a cuddlebug, too!) sports-junkie for you, please get in touch with my foster mommy at Fetching Tails and tell her you are ready to watch the World Series with me! Love, Deacon If interested please fill out an application on our website at www.fetchingtailsfoundation.org or if any questions please email us! Adoption Requirements: *Be at least 21 years of age *Have the knowledge and agreement of all adults living in the household *Have approval from owner of residence (written in lease) *Have a valid ID with current address *Be approved as a suitable adoptive home by Fetching Tails Foundation *Be prepared to make a lifetime commitment *Lives in 50 mile radius of Itasca within the Illinois border Adoption Fees: Senior dog - 8 years and up, $75 Adult or young dog - 6 months to 7 years, $250 Puppies - under 6 months, $350 (Less)

Australian Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in Illinois if they match your IifestyIe. The Australian Shepherd, or Aussie, is a playful breed that provides excellent companionship to active children. Aussies are smart, trainable, protective, and eager to please. Australian Shepherds are gentle with humans and aggressive when herding farm animals. Aussies are active even when indoors and do best with plenty of exercise in a large yard.
