Animal ID: 0937Beta (male)

Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Beta, this handsome Australian Shepard/ Blue Heeler mix boy is ready for his 'FUREVER' home. He is a year old, fixed, had his tail doc and is UTD on shots. He is looking for a family to share all their love with him. He is a very energetic and would do best with a person or family that has lots of their time to spend with him. He still needs some with commands, but we will continue to work with him daily on these. He does know how to sit when asked and he does come when called or by whistling. He is also doing well on potty training, but this does not take away from his great loving personality. He loves children off all ages and does very ... (Read More)good with younger kids! He just gets little excited at introductions. He is a very sociable dog with humans and with other animals. Beta would love to have another dog to play with him, but would do fine alone too. He is still unsure about cats but has not mistreated one yet and has done fine with them. He's just bit curious. He does like to be in a cage, and would do best in larger kennel or fenced yard. He does great on a leash and loves his walks, but we also work with him off leash and does very good with staying next to you! He has been around livestock and does really well. Beta needs a little work knowing that he doesn't need to herd constantly, that it makes everyone tired. If you are interested in meeting Beta or have any more questions please email or contact us. Beta would love to join someone in their journey and share all his excitement with them! Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Bullet. Bullet is a 2 years old, Jack Russell Terrier and maybe Aussie Shephard mix (cute!) about 35 pounds. He is definitely a herding dog. He loves to play with my dogs and respects my cats. He currently lives with 3 dogs and 2 cats and gets along with all. Bullet loves to run and chase my little dog but plays with all 3 (really!! I have 2 dogs that have not played in a long time'| and they play with him!!) he also loves to run off the squirrels from the yard. BONUS!! Surprising that he is not the high energy, barking dog I would have thought. He comes out the door like a bullet and then stops and looks around. Bullet is a ... Will let you scratch his ears ALL DAY and he will lean into you if you get tired. Bullet is housebroke, up to date on shots and is neutered. He is currently crated only a couple of hours in the morning, he roams the house the rest of the day and sleeps on the floor next to me. Bullet will need a fenced in backyard, loving active family, along with training to help with self-esteem. He loves to learn and is eager to learn new tricks. Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Angie is a super friendly girl, and loves everyone. She is good with the dogs in her foster home, and the kitties too! Angie came into her first rescue pregnant and heartworm positive. After nursing nine puppies, and being the special girl Angie is, heartworm treatment was done. Angie came to HELP for cage rest and is now done with her medical hold. Angie is 4 years of age, DOB of 6-7-13, a Lab X shepherd, and maybe some Aussie or Husky as she has a bit of blue in each eye. She weighs 66.80 #'s of sweetness and loyalty. Although she has a partially torn off ear and is not especially photogenic, Angie is beautiful inside and out. She is ... (Read More)housetrained, kennel trained, and is well past the chewing stage. She would make a wonderful companion dog for almost any family. Angie is not much of a barker, and listens well. With a basic companion dog class, some lucky family would have a Best Friend for life. Angie is enjoying the life of being an inside girl, with good food, warmth in the winter, cool in the summer, and Love every day. Angie will make one lucky family or person very happy. (Less)

She is my first foster and she is a DM (deaf) she is learning manners in the home and was already house broken and starting to learn a few things from her first temp foster. Mahaska has learned sit, down, 'up' from a down back to a sit, off, stay, drop it, get it, leave it, come, watch me, quite, no, good girl, and targeting touch-to next step ring a bell to go outside. All hand signals.. She is great at fetch and when she is a little older would be good at frisbee.. I'm 5'2' and at almost 7 months she can ... (Read More)jump to my head. Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

*MUST LIVE IN 50 MILE RADIUS OF ITASCA (SUBURBAN CHICAGO) WITHIN THE ILLINOIS BORDER TO ADOPT* Hi ho, Hi ho, off to a forever home I would like to go! My name is Doc and I am available for adoption through Fetching Tails Foundation! Are you looking for a fun, big, lovable pup to call your own? I could be the perfect young lad for you! I am a 47-pound, five-month-old American Bulldog/Australian Shepherd mix. I came to Fetching Tails Foundation with my momma Fiona and six other puppies when we were four weeks old. My siblings were all adopted, but I decided to stay with my momma and keep her company while she had heartworm treatment. I am ... (Read More)quite the chivalrous fellow! She is feeling better, so I am ready to spread my doggie wings and find a forever home now. I am a fun-loving puppy, and would love a fenced yard in which to run and play at my forever home. After a proper introduction, I love to play with other dogs as well. My foster family has a 165-pound Mastiff and we get along great; we spend a lot of time goofing around in the yard together. I am also a big fan of toys and can never have enough; I hope my forever family will buy me all the toys they can find! When I am all done burning my energy during play time, I love to curl up on the couch with my people for a nap. I have two human siblings who are 8 and 10 years old; I love to lay right on top of my 8-year-old human brother when we nap on the couch together. So I would do well with kids if you have them! For a puppy, I have pretty awesome manners, too. I am potty trained and crate trained already. My mommy Fiona needed to be on 'bed rest' because of her heartworm treatment, so foster mommy got us an extra large crate to nap in together so I could help keep Fiona calm. It helped momma Fiona so much, and I liked to be able to cuddle with her as much as possible. Like all puppies, I have more to learn and would love to take some puppy obedience or beginner training classes with you! I like to jump up on people to say 'HI!' and know that sometimes humans don't like that so we could work on proper greetings together. I am also really good on a leash now and enjoy walks with my foster family! I can be left alone for a few hours now; I think I would prefer to have humans who don't leave me alone for more than 5-6 hours a day because I get a little bored the longer my humans are gone. What can I say? I love my people and prefer to be around them as much as possible! Wouldn't you like to be around me as much as possible, too? If a handsome, outgoing, smart, and most of all loving pup sounds like the perfect addition to your family, please get in touch with my friends at Fetching Tails Foundation today! I have had a blast in my foster home these past few months, but I am ready to start the next chapter of my story now! Puppy love and cuddles, Doc Please read all adoption requirements and adoption fee's below! *TRAINING IS REQUIRED! THE PUPPY MUST BE SIGNED UP FOR TRAINING AFTER 14 DAYS OF THE ADOPTION! Rescue Me ID: 16-05-01-00625Olaf (male)

Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults

*Not my dog but I can connect you with owners.* Currently in Paxton, IL but transport can likely be arranged. Olaf is 10-12 month(based on what I was told his age was when he came here) old deaf Aussie mix(suppose to be w husky/lab but I'm not sure about it because of his size). He is housebroken, crate trained, knows a few hand signals,ok off leash once he trained to his boundaries, good with other dogs(male or female) as long as they are tolerant of his play level/herding instinct, good with kids.. he is great w my 3 year old granddaughter who lives w me BUT she knows not to grab at dogs and she understands she can't startle him so would say ... (Read More)home with older kids would be best unless toddler is well behaved. Honestly at times he acts like he may have been abused early in life as he will sometimes cower from you. He loves to play with balls. Olaf currently lives with another dog and enjoys sleeping with his canine pal. Emily (Less)

Australian Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in Illinois if they match your IifestyIe. The Australian Shepherd, or Aussie, is a playful breed that provides excellent companionship to active children. Aussies are smart, trainable, protective, and eager to please.     Australian Shepherds are not Australian; they were developed in the United States for herding livestock on American ranches. Aussies are often used by police for narcotics detection. Some Australian Shepherds are prized for their beautiful merle coloring, but the gene that causes this coloring also results in deafness or blindness.
