Animal ID: 2812Rain (female)

Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Rain is an intelligent, working type girl who will bond with her owner and do all she can to please you. She is alpha and needs an owner who has experience with the herding, working breed. Woof Beach Batavia has assessed and trained her, and she has really bloomed into a wonderful girl! She came to HELP from an owner who couldn't keep her and Rain was very under socialized. She now is doing great at her foster home with multiple dogs, and cats too. She would be happier without cats, she is too interested in them. Rain is housetrained, walks politely on leash, and will listen to her commands. She stays off the furniture, is kennel trained ... (Read More)but rarely in one, and does not jump on people unless she is invited. A fenced yard is best, plus someone that is active or does agility to keep her mind and body working. Rain weighs 66.5#'s, plus is now 4 years, born April 1, 2010 . I know, what a birthday! Rain does have the herding instinct, so children 12 and over that are capable of understanding her would be great! She can handle a work day home as long as it is playtime when you arrive afterwards. She loves walks, outdoor time, petting and affection. Rain has awesome indoor manners, stays off the furniture, and respects her persons belongings. She will fetch a ball and love to be with you getting your attention and love! If you are willing to follow through on her training, keep her busy and understand her breeds, Rain may be the girl for you! (Less)

Animal ID: 2837Addie (female)

Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

You won't find a dog happier than Addie. Just like her color she is one special pup. Addie is a beautiful 4 year old beagle mix weighing about 30lbs. Her future home should be able to provide the proper amount of mental and physical exercise that is important to keep Addie's mind and body in shape. Beagles naturally enjoy the company of other dogs and humans and nothing could be more true for Addie. She is loving, sweet, and always happy to see everyone, greeting them with a wagging tail. Addie does have some hunting instincts so caution should be taken with small, non-canine animals. A home without cats would be best as she will chase and ... (Read More)bark at them. Addie loves to go on walks and happily 'bays' when she sees a leash. Often, she finds a scent to follow and will take you on an adventure to find the critter that made it. She does display some signs of separation anxiety, but only when completely alone. She does very well kenneled with her foster sister and doesn't show separation anxiety if she is with another dog or human. She loves car rides, bathes well, and even loves to be in the water! She is good with children, incredibly tolerant, and always ready to join in on a game or adventure. Most of all Addie loves to cuddle. She is an under-the-blanket snuggler. She will greet you with a smile every time you come home, devoting herself to you with utmost companionship. (Less)

Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed

Luna Female 2 year old Aussie Beagle Mix Luna is a beautiful Aussie mix but takes after the beagle side of her family a she is small. Luna was raised with a family for almost two years. We do not know why her family surrendered her to the local vet and did not return for her. She is housebroken, good with other dogs and very sweet. Her foster mom has this to say about her: 'Luna has the brains of an Aussie and the energy of a beagle; she sits and lays down but has selective hearing so she probably would do best in a fenced yard. She's so curious, She is just too curious around cats and would do best in a home without them. She loves to play ... (Read More)with all kinds of dogs and children. She would do best as with another dog and with a family to play with her. She really loves all kinds of attention and has tons of energy. Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Star is 7-10 years old, in good health and extremely loving. She weighs about 70 lbs and sometimes thinks she's a lap dog. She is house trained, loves sleeping on a garden table on our shaded patio and swimming in our ponds. On the negative side, she is dominate over others dogs, jumps on people when excited/attention starved, and freighted of loud noises such as thunder, fireworks and gunshots. We adopted her five years ago and believe she may have abused at some point in her life because she cowers when afraid or being spoken to harshly. We hate to see Star go, but she needs space to run and we're moving due to a change in jobs and do ... (Read More)not believe she would fair well in a town house in a big city. Would prefer Star going to a farm or home with lots of space, but a nice fenced yard with a loving family would be good too. (Less)
