Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

This is an amazing dog. If I didn't have small children living with me, I'd never give her up. She's great with older kids and other animals. She loves car rides and to go on walks, and I've never had a dog who loves chasing tennis balls as much. She's never run off, though she does run into the front yard when the door is open, she stays in the yard. She is food aggressive, but as long as the dogs are fed separately there's no issue. She LOVES to play with other dogs. We have a blind cat and she respects her, but always tries to be friendly. She doesn't like small children near her tail or hind legs. She has bitten (not broken skin) ... (Read More)toddlers who get near her legs or try to take toys she has claimed. We rescued her from the shelter and believe she would be a fantastic dog for a family with teens or no children. I CANNOT keep her as she is a danger to my children. (Less)

Hey world. Meet Travis. He is an outgoing pup who is always ready to play. He is in a wonderful foster home having a blast with all his foster furfriends. His foster mom said he is full speed playing and then all of a sudden he's crashed. She said he has a bit of an attitude. She will say, time for bed Travis and he barks and rolls around like,,,,,,' no not yet. I'm not tired.' Then she turns around and he's crashed in the middle of the kennel. :) He just doesn't want to give up when there is someone to play with. Sounds like a puppy. :) Travis loves other dogs. He can be a brat. with kitties. He likes to bark at them ... (Read More)and will chase if they run. The doggie door was a breeze for him because he followed all the other kids outside. He's learning to potty outside and sit's nicely for treats. He loves treats. The world is a happy place when there are treats around. Travis is a 3 month old Border Collie Aussie mix. He is up to date on all his vaccinations, and micro chipped. He will be neutered as soon as the vet says he's old enough. PIease Read Before Adopting an Australian Shepherd in Idaho
Australian Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in Idaho if they match your IifestyIe. The Australian Shepherd, or Aussie, is a playful breed that provides excellent companionship to active children. Aussies are smart, trainable, protective, and eager to please. Australian Shepherds are gentle with humans and aggressive when herding farm animals. Aussies are active even when indoors and do best with plenty of exercise in a large yard.

lnteresting Australian Shepherd Trivia Low-Cost Idaho Spay & Neuter Clinics
Australian Shepherds are not Australian; they were developed in the United States for herding livestock on American ranches. Australian Shepherds are descended from Spanish dogs that were used for herding Merino sheep. Aussies can be trained to perform tricks. Aussies are often used by police for narcotics detection. Some Australian Shepherds are prized for their beautiful merle coloring, but the gene that causes this coloring also results in deafness or blindness.
