Hi! I'm Finnegan and I'm the chillest dog around! I'm a 6-year-old Shepherd mix and I weigh about 45lbs. I love people of all ages, plus I love dogs and even cats - anybody that wants to cuddle is A-OK in my book. I'm fully house-trained, crate-trained, and I'm NEVER destructive - just show me where the couch is and I'm good to go. I love to take walks, but I also love to take naps - whatever you want to do! I just want to hang out, so let me know if you're looking for a low-key buddy with tons of love to give! I currently live in a foster home in Texas, but transport will be included in the adoption fee and arranged by Rescue Road Trip if ... (Read More)you choose to adopt! (Less)

Hi! I'm Goliath and I'm a 5-year-old Pointer mix that weighs about 75 lbs. One day, my family dropped me off at ACS, but my foster mom cannot figure out why! She constantly says I am a good boy, which I really try to be. I know how to use the potty outside, I LOVE walks, and I'm a super chill dude. Despite my size, I only take up a small amount of space - I love to curl up on my bed and chew my bone. I'm not destructive, so I don't need to sleep in a crate. You will never meet a dog that's happier to be with his people, so let me know if you're looking for a forever friend to give you unconditional love! I currently live in a foster home in ... PIease Read Before Adopting an Australian Shepherd in Connecticut
Australian Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in Connecticut if they match your IifestyIe. The Australian Shepherd, or Aussie, is a playful breed that provides excellent companionship to active children. Aussies are smart, trainable, protective, and eager to please. Australian Shepherds are gentle with humans and aggressive when herding farm animals. Aussies are active even when indoors and do best with plenty of exercise in a large yard.

Australian Shepherds are not Australian; they were developed in the United States for herding livestock on American ranches. Some Australian Shepherds are prized for their beautiful merle coloring, but the gene that causes this coloring also results in deafness or blindness.
