Australian Shepherd    Age: Adult

Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Aggressive, Fearful/Anxious

Max is a sweet boy and very fun and energetic, but he is quite anxious and has a history of nipping both strangers and acquaintances when surprised or stressed. Unfortunately, we are afraid that he may eventually bite our son, so to avoid that we're looking for a new family for Max, probably one with no small children or pets that dart ... Animal ID: 1102Annie (female)

Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Adult

Health: Spayed

Annie Shepherd/Retriever Mix Female 6 years old 71 lbs. Hello! My name is Annie-I am a spunky sweetheart with, you guessed it, lots of red hair! I hear there is a famous musical that aligns pretty closely to my own life. Let me tell you about me, and you be the judge. It's been a bit of a 'Hard Knock Life' for me up until now. My former family turned me in when they could no longer care for me. Sometimes they left me home alone for up to eleven hours in a single day. I think 'Something was Missing' with them. But I hope I '%BD%BD%BD'%BD%BD%BD|Won't be an Orphan for Long' because I would be the perfect companion. I just love to ... (Read More)snuggle and be petted on the couch. While it's true you might call me an orphan-I wouldn't say I'm little. At my current weight, I could use to lose a pound or two. It doesn't take too much to tire me out. But 'Maybe' with the right regimen and the right diet, I could get down to a healthy weight before you know it. Up to now I just figured, 'Why Should I Change a Thing' about myself? I would be happy with my own personal dog friend like Sandy-but I could also be happy as the center of attention in your home, because 'I Don't Need Anything But You!' As you can tell from my picture, I truly live the philosophy that 'You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile.' Another great thing about me? I said 'I Think I'm Gonna Like It Here' when I saw my new crate. I'm happy to spend time in there when you're out on the town. Are you my Daddy (or Mommy) Warbucks? It doesn't take much more than love to make me the happiest 'Little Girl.' Please, fill out a PawsCo dog adoption application and email adopt@pawscoadoptions.org today to set up a visit with me. I hope you will be the one to '%BD%BD%BD'%BD%BD%BD|Make Me Happy' by adopting me soon! Then, I know I'll be on 'Easy Street' for my 'Tomorrow.' (Less)

I'm sure at this point your heart is melting. I tend to do that to people. I can assure you that my personality is just as beautiful. My littermates and I traveled here all the way from Brownfield, TX. We've been through quite a lot. At the shelter we were covered in ticks and had ringworm. Once we arrived to Colorado we came down with parvo. Luckily, our foster mom rocks and was able to nurse us all back to 100% from the comfort of our home! We pretty much hit the jack pot of foster homes. Our days are spent eating, napping, playing & of course napping. Puppy requirement #1! Foster mom has introduced me to her chickens, cats & adult dogs. ... (Read More)I'm starting to like them all I am learning a lot here! I like to go potty outside but still have accidents. I am used to sleeping in a puppy pile in a crate. When I get adopted on my own it might take me a little while to adjust to sleeping alone, I hope you understand! My forever family should be up for taking classes with me! I am eager to learn and want to grow up to make you proud. I also want active people who are ready to explore, play and live life to the fullest! If you're interested in guiding me through life email sunshinecanyondr@gmail.com! (Less)

Lilly: Aussie/Heeler/Collie 2 1/2 yrs. old, 40 lbs, housebroken. A good Samaritan saw a litter of puppies being dumped, luckily they were able to gather them up and take them home. It appeared that they had been poisoned. Four of the puppies died. The remaining 4 puppies didn't get very sick and we were able to save them. Lilly is the only one that has not found her forever home. She is very very shy and will need a lot of work, so we are also looking for a home with another dog and no small children. PIease Read Before Adopting an Australian Shepherd in Colorado
Australian Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in Colorado if they match your IifestyIe. The Australian Shepherd, or Aussie, is a playful breed that provides excellent companionship to active children. Aussies are smart, trainable, protective, and eager to please. Australian Shepherds are gentle with humans and aggressive when herding farm animals. Aussies are active even when indoors and do best with plenty of exercise in a large yard.

lnteresting Australian Shepherd Trivia Low-Cost Colorado Spay & Neuter Clinics
Australian Shepherds are not Australian; they were developed in the United States for herding livestock on American ranches. Aussies can be trained to perform tricks. Some Australian Shepherds are prized for their beautiful merle coloring, but the gene that causes this coloring also results in deafness or blindness.
