HELLO!! Boomer is a 5 year old unaltered male with lots of energy! He's wiggly and sweet and loves to run and play or just flop down with you on the couch. Boomer was rescued from euthanasia by my vet clinic for his diabetes, which is regulated and gives him no trouble with daily insulin injections. He loves people, plays well with other dogs, and doesn't like cats very much, but he would make a perfect addition to a high energy home!

Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi, all! I'm Donny, I'm super handsome and about two years old. I may seem shy and nervous when first meeting you, but after spending some time with you (and bribing me with cheese), I'll warm up to you and play and connect. I've found that if there are other dogs, I'm shy at first, but after a while, I want and like to play. I do like to have a safe place to go, such as under my foster mom's dining table, in the event that I get scared. I'm still a little wary about being picked up,so if I'm going to need to be picked up for whatever reason, please try not to scare me. All I ask is that you please be patient with me while I warm up to you ... (Read More)and that you love me like one of your own, and I'll love you and be a good boy for you the best way I can. I have cataracts/birth defect so my vision is limited so just approach me from the front. Let me warm up to you, and I promise that I will show you how much energy and love I have! If you are interested in adopting me please fill out an application at http://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application His adoption fee is $295 and all proceeds from his adoption go towards future rescues.     Fluffy, sister to Midnight, is 4 year old Chow-Shepherd mix. Fluffy and Midnight have spent their entire lives here at ABAR. Miss Fluffypants loves to be with her human all the time and will follow wherever they go. She loves to lay by her person's feet and does well with car rides. Fluffy gets along with adults and children, but she does not exhibit her best behavior around other dogs (possibly an attention hog) and because of this, she will need to be the only dog in her family. Fluffy is housebroken, crate-trained, up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, and will be microchipped prior to adoption. If you are interested in adopting Fluffy, ... PIease Read Before Adopting an Australian Shepherd in Arkansas
Australian Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in Arkansas if they match your IifestyIe. The Australian Shepherd, or Aussie, is a playful breed that provides excellent companionship to active children. Aussies are smart, trainable, protective, and eager to please. Australian Shepherds are gentle with humans and aggressive when herding farm animals. Aussies are active even when indoors and do best with plenty of exercise in a large yard.

lnteresting Australian Shepherd Trivia Low-Cost Arkansas Spay & Neuter Clinics
Australian Shepherds are not Australian; they were developed in the United States for herding livestock on American ranches. Aussies can be trained to perform tricks. Aussies are often used by police for narcotics detection. Some Australian Shepherds are prized for their beautiful merle coloring, but the gene that causes this coloring also results in deafness or blindness.
