Emma Born November 5, 2013 My name is Emma. I get along great with dogs as long as they do not start a fight with me and I have to warm up to them in a safe environment because they scare me when I first meet them. I recommend letting me loose in a backyard with them and not on a leash as I think I might be a little protective when scared. I do great at the dog park and love playing with the other dogs. I get along with cats and really don't care much about them one way or another. I love kids and love when they play with me and love on me. I have never been around kids under 4 years old so I think I will like them but just watch me. I ... (Read More)will stay in a crate and do fine. I am potty trained as long as you don't wait too long to let me out. I am not good at letting you know. I love the water and will jump in any type of water you give me. I also love to play fetch and will bring the ball back to you. I am super loveable and I love to cuddle on the couch with my human companion and lay my head in your lap. I need lots of attention and demand it and sometimes have to be told when you don't have time to give it because I think that you have 24 hours a day just for me. I know all my basic commands like sit, lay down, stay, shake. I have spent a lot of time outdoors and my owners were really busy so I do need some additional training. I also love to give kisses and walk on leash and like riding in car. I eat 1 %BD%BD%BD%BE cup of Purina One every morning and night and I eat it so fast you will think that I haven't eaten in a week. One of these days I will stop and enjoy the taste of my food. I am sensitive to high protein dog foods like Blue Buffalo so be careful but I do need something that will keep my weight down cause I easily gain weight. I am on Tri-Heart Plus Heartworm preventive and Advantix for Ticks and fleas. I have had a tough year last year as I got heartworms on heartworm preventative (IVY Heart) and had to be treated in the spring of 2016 and then got a tick disease in the fall and had to have antibiotics. Please help me not go through that again. My coat is just now starting to look pretty again. I have a few bad habits as most dogs do. I love to dig and will dig out from under a fence if I get bored. If I get excited, scared or if you try and force me to do something, I will tinkle on the floor. I am getting better but it still happens at times so be careful if you first come home and I am really excited to make sure you don't pet me too much until I calm down. I do not like storms. I would make a great companion for anyone and just want to get up and snuggle and be close to my owner. I really hope you want to love me. (Less)

The Australian Shepherd, or Aussie, is a playful breed that provides excellent companionship to active children. Aussies are smart, trainable, protective, and eager to please. lnteresting Australian Shepherd Trivia Low-Cost Arkansas Spay & Neuter Clinics
Australian Shepherds are not Australian; they were developed in the United States for herding livestock on American ranches. Aussies can be trained to perform tricks. Some Australian Shepherds are prized for their beautiful merle coloring, but the gene that causes this coloring also results in deafness or blindness.
