Rescue Me ID: 16-02-08-00364Kenny (male)
Kenny comes to us from a family who took him in as young puppy from their friends who were breeders. They bred mini aussie's and chocolate labs, and well you can see what happened by accident. Unfortunately, the family was ill equipped to handle, train or manage a puppy, and he quickly became what puppies become. So, they put him outside. They reached out to us, because they wanted more for him. We are looking for a new family for him that will understand and love him for who is today, and for what he will become. He is about a year old and weighs probably 40 pounds. He is being crate trained now, and is doing well. He gets along well with other dogs. He can be shy and evasive at first, so he will need time to warm up - and he does. He is scheduled for neutering on the 24th-he can be adopted before, as long as you will transport him. If you would like to give Kenny the life he deserves to have, please let us know. We know his future is bright, and can't wait for him to find it! As part of your adoption package, each dog will be fully vaccinated (Da2PP, Rabies), have a microchip (with lifetime registration), and be spayed/neutered. If the dog is not spayed or neutered at time of adoption, the adopter will be responsible to transport the dog, to and from dropoff/pickup point. Each dog will receive 6 mths of heartworm preventative medication. You will receive a free bag of premium dog food, and a gift card from Choice Pet Market. Each of our dogs comes with 4 training classes that are mandatory to attend. These classes take place at Choice Pet Market in Chandler on a Tues or Wed evening from 6-7 pm, and will be scheduled after adoption. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-01-22-00676Jera (male)
Jera is a beautiful German Shepherd/ Australian Shepard Mix about 2 years old. He is very timid, gets along with other dogs but is very unsure of himself. He was pulled from the euthenasia list at county for being fearful but then put right into a boarding facility with very little work/socialization for about 8 months which did not help this poor guy with the attention he needed. We are working hard to get him to feel comfortable. He needs an experienced strong owner and another healthy dog to show him the way. We'll keep working with him as long as it takes but it's always better to have dogs like him in a home enviornment so if you love the shepherds like we do and have the experience we need to work with shy dogs, call Karen to meet him 480.229.9530 or email firstname.lastname@example.org (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-12-30-00734Mystic (female)
Mystic is in need of a new forever home. She is very smart, 100% house trained, needs a fenced yard, would love a kid over 10 and/or an adult to play, and daily walk would be great! She has a moderate amount of energy and is also a good snuggler. We feel she would do best as an only pet.

Rescue Me ID: 15-10-02-00021Mitzi Mittens (female)
Hello my name is Mitzi. I am not a beagle but I was turned into AZ Beagle Rescue with my beagle friend, so here I am. I am a mix of some type of herding dog but we aren't sure what. I can tell you that I will herd my people so be prepared for me to be nipping at your heals and poking you in the back of your legs while you are walking around. I can't help myself, it was bred into me. I am very smart and very lovable. I will use my paws as hands when I want your attention. You will be able to look into my eyes and be able to tell how smart I am. My foster parents really like me and have given me free roam of their home even though I was kept outside all the time. It didn't take me long to use the doggie door or to be housebroken. I hope that someone will help me find my fur ever home. I promise you won't be disappointed. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-08-04-00042Jake and Joe (male)
Jake and Joe are sweet, playful puppies. They are brothers and are Australian Shepherd/Queensland Heeler mix. They would do best in a home without young children as kids can sometimes make them nervous and one of them has bitten. They have never shown aggression with anyone else and are friendly with strangers. They love to go on walks, hunt rabbits, and sit next to you while you pet them. They are used to being outside but have also had time in the house without any accidents. They enjoy having room to run and play. I would like for them to go to the same home as they have never been apart and the move will be hard on them as it is.They will go with whomever we feel would be the best fit for them. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-11-13-00011Frankie Blue Eyes (female)
Frankie is a 2 year old Australian Shepherd/Pit Bull Mix with stunning eyes and a kooky personality! Frankie was turned into Maricopa County Animal Care & Control as a stray. She was placed on the euthanasia list for being fearful. We went to rescue her and couldn't leave her kennelmate behind, an older Chow mix. Frankie was extremely wary of us at first but her personality exploded as soon as we got her out of County! She is a very high energy girl that would be the perfect match with an active family. We see her as the PERFECT hiking companion! She is very people oriented and will look to you to lead her! She is eager to please and super smart, responding well to training. Frankie has a dominant personality and gets along fine with other dogs but would love to have all of the attention focused on her! She would do best in a home without cats and with older children. Frankie was treated for Giardia but is perfectly healthy now! Frankie is spayed, current on Rabies, 4-1 and Bordatella vaccines and is microchipped. Her adoption fee is $155. (Less)

Australian Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in Arizona if they match your IifestyIe. The Australian Shepherd, or Aussie, is a playful breed that provides excellent companionship to active children. Aussies are smart, trainable, protective, and eager to please. Australian Shepherds are gentle with humans and aggressive when herding farm animals. Aussies are active even when indoors and do best with plenty of exercise in a large yard.
